Kompanija “Sloboda” AD Čačak is one of the largest military factories with a successful decade-long tradition. It is a part of the Defense Industry of the Republic of Serbia, whose majority owner is the Republic of Serbia.

It was founded in 1948 with the main goal of ammunition and military equipment production for the needs of the Yugoslav Army, with headquarters in Čačak, located 145 km south of Belgrade.

Over time, the production facilities were enlarged and the range of products expanded, which resulted in an increased volume of production. Therewith, the capacities exceeded the domestic needs and the breakthrough to the world market began. Now the company “Sloboda” is 90% export-oriented. It achieves successful cooperation in the field of exporting its products and engineering technology transfer services under the “turnkey” system to almost all countries around the world.

In order to keep up with the world’s renowned ammo manufacturers and fulfill the needs of the demanding world market, Kompanija “Sloboda” has implemented multi-year cycles of investments.

Today, it is a modern company that employs around 2,400 people of various educational profiles, owns several production facilities where production is carried out on the up-to-date equipment, as well as the firing test for dynamic testing of ammunition. There is also Metrology Laboratory that is authorized in the defense system for measuring gauges inspection, as well as Laboratory for testing mechanical and chemical properties that is a member of the accredited PT-Provider KOMIM.

Kompanija “Sloboda” has developed a wide range of medium and large caliber ammunition products ranging from 20mm to 155mm. Within the production program, there is a broad range of different projectiles of aircraft ammunition (20mm, 23mm, 40mm), anti-aircraft ammunition (20mm, 23mm, 30mm, 37mm, 40mm, 57mm), signal ammunition 26mm and 38mm, hand grenades (45mm, 53mm), smoke bombs (79mm, 81mm), rifle grenades, 40mm for grenade launchers, hand anti-tank unguided rockets (64mm, 90mm and 120mm), as well as artillery and tank ammunition (76mm, 100mm, 105mm, 122m, 125mm, 130mm, 152mm and 155mm).

In order to improve the quality of the production process, as well as the quality of the products, the Policy of the Integrated Management System was implemented, which determined the ways of meeting business goals.
